Martingale is by far the best known method for winning at roulette and can also be used in other types of gambling.
However, many websites teach this method in a misleading way and claim that they have discovered a foolproof strategy for winning at roulette. Unfortunately this is not true. The Martingale betting method is not a strategy, but a way to manage your betting and there is nothing new about it.
The outer part of the roulette wheel, (red numbers, black numbers, even numbers, odd numbers, major numbers and minor numbers), is undoubtedly the best place to use this method.
RULES:
- Set a goal, for example, to win 30 chips.
- Set a value for your first bet, for example, 3 chips.
- Place your first bet, in this case, 3 chips.
IF YOU LOSE:
The amount of your next bet should be double your last bet. In this case (3x2), 6 chips.
IF YOU WIN:
The value of your next bet must be the same as your first bet. In this case, 3 chips.
FATAL ERROR:
Numerous sites tell the player to keep the same play whenever he loses and only change it when he wins. This is not quite true.
-
Regardless of the roulette result, you don't have to bet the same move every time you lose. It is optional.
-
The probability of a red number coming up, for example, is exactly the same as a black or even or smaller number.
-
If the player insists too many times on the same move, it can happen that the casino detects this behavior and activates its defense mechanisms, and if this happens, the player will lose all his money in a few moves.
-
In the short term, using this tactic may work, but soon the player will start losing and his balance will fatally go to zero.
The player makes his first move and bets the amount of the first bet he determined. In this case 3 chips.
-
Let's say the player loses.
His next bet must be for 6 chips, (3x2) and does not necessarily have to be on the same spot.
-
If the player loses again, he must double the amount for his next bet, in this case 12 chips (6x2), and need not insist on the same move.
-
Let's imagine that now the player wins, his next bet may or may not be on the same spot, but the value will be 3 chips, in other words, the value he defined as being the value of his first bet.
- And so on, until he reaches his goal.
Keep an eye on your balance.
-
Let's imagine that the player loses seven times in a row, always placing bets on the outer roulette area on rolls that pay x2. The value of his first seven bets would look like this: (3+6+12+24+48+96+192), so the player has spent so far, 381 chips.
-
The value of the eighth bet will have to be 384 chips (192x2), and let's imagine that the player wins.
Then, his winnings will be 768 chips.
-
In total, the player has liked 765 chips, (381+384) and has won 768 chips, (384x2).
In this example, the player made a real profit of 3 chips.
SUMMARY:
- Whenever the player loses:
His next bet should have the value of his last bet multiplied by 2.
- Whenever the player wins:
His next bet should have the value of his first bet.
ADVANTAGES OF THE MARTINGALE METHOD:
The Martingale Method is easy to use and does not require great skills.
When a player hits just once, he can cover his expenses and make a profit.
If the player gets it right in the first three bets, he will make a good profit.
DISADVANTAGES OF THE MARTINGALE METHOD:
Using this method on bets other than in the outer area of roulette can be very risky.
The player who faces a wave of successive losses and does not have a good balance, in a few plays his balance will go to zero.
AGGRESSIVENESS OF THE MARTINGALE METHOD:
Aggressive.
